From what I know of the MIT Design Research project, it aims to "capture" the human interactions, discussions, etc., as a "record"
of the design process (and so, ultimately its rationale) rather than contribute to the designing itself. I have no doubt that someone, someday will produce software which will enable the client to design

I have an enormous respect for what "computers" are capable of but
have even more respect for the humans using them.
