Paul, you are quite correct. Attached is a sketch in accordance with my theory. The following is the description that I entered along with the image in the scrapbook:
This sketch shows how I visualized the collapse of the WTC Towers. The pressure will gradually decrease as we go down from the top floor and the falling debris will definately come into the play in the collapse of the lower floors. VE Dampers behave like glass-like material at 20°C. However, at 40°C, they behave like rubber (they are out of commission by this temperature).
