The internal shopping steet in Corb's Marseilles Habitat didn't work simply becuse there weren't enough people in the building to patronize the merchants. This isn't rocket science, only common sense.

Of the type I've failed to spark with the local planning department, who insist on a "nodal development" pilot project at the very north west edge of the urban growth boundary -- so virtually the whole tributary area for the essential neighborhood businesses is obligatory agricultural -- except for the part which is wetlands...

Good intentions, weak logic.
