Easton Shopping Centre in Columbus Ohio is an example of a pedestrian oriented shopping centre reminiscent of an old towne center shopping area. A few retail outlets are contained in the "mall" section. Other retail stores are in stand aloe buildings.

Note the "Town Square" in the plan.

During the summer the streets are occasionally lined with art and craft vendors or other attractions to generate shopper traffic.
