I'm a high school senior, planning to study architecture in college next year. I have to write a research paper for my AP English class, and we are encouraged to write about a topic that relates to the field of study in which we plan to enter. With this said, I am looking for a good controversial issue related to architecture that I would be able to write a research paper on. My thesis must be supported through logical argument. I'm somewhat interested in "new urbanism", although I don't know a lot about it and I'm not sure how I would be able to approach it from an angle that might be controversial. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate any suggestions and/or good sources in which I might find more information. Thank you.
