i'm a student of urban design, doing a masters in the course from india (school of planning and architecture, new delhi)
i am presenting a seminar on the 29th of march, and my topic is "ideologies as a determinant of urban form" i would be covering major political and socio-cultural movements that emerged in the last two centuries, primarily capitalism, communism, fascism, imperialism and globalization.
any ideas on what specific urban design examples could help me illustrate the impact of the ideology of a period on the architecture, specifically on urban form?
