If the image is small enough (size indications in scrapbook) and the site it comes from related in the actual post (and linked) with the author credits (if any)... I believe it's OK...:-)

If I'm understanding correctly, then sorry, Jacques, I don't think so.

As a practical matter, if you're posting a thumbnail image, which I'll define as 150 pixels or smaller in both dimensions, and you're linking from the thumbnail to the page displaying the proper image on the original site, following any instructions at that site, then you'll probably get away with it, because the lttile thumbnail is not competing much with the bigger image, and you're bringing traffic to the site.

However, legally, size does not matter.

And if the image comes from a serious professional phtographer, there is a good chance you (and/or we, if this fiorum is involved) will get into trouble, because professional photographers rely on controling the use of their images in order to make their livelihood.

Bottom line: You need to have explicit permission from the copyright holder to post an image.
