if Paul - with a lifetime of practising, teaching and writing about architecture - does not read architectural journals, then what do architects want to read ?

My view (as a non-architect) is that straight information on what is happening - schemes shown as they are without the flowery prose, and by a wider range than the few 'in-crowd' names - and real information on what is planned, how people have reacted to schemes, and a generally positive attitude may be more acceptable.
