Hi,

I am currently developing plans for my beach house. The house is within 30m of the water and it gets hit hard by sea water, southerlies etc. The architect wants to use a cedar faced ply stained Black.

My concern is that the Ply will crack etc etc in that environment, particularly if stained black.

I would appreciate any thoughs on this and also what may be a better product (I'd rather replace the cladding in 15 years than have it degrade and not be able to do anything about it).

Thanks
