Australia is an extremely urbanized nation but this is not reflected much in the architectural press which seems to focus on Murcuttesque houses on large sites with a lot of gum trees.

Of course, people all over the developed world get to 'stare out at a brick wall and a drain pipe', so that part tends to drop out in terms of identifying a regional style or character.

Be that as it may, ArchitectureWeek would love to get contributions from down under that reflect and better reflect the nitty-gritty realities as you experience them.
