Your remark about the correlation is very true... Those who "observe" enough to make a "good" (meaning communicating a feeling) drawing are the ones who can deal the best with the digital medias. It also deals with an analytical state of mind in a time where "images" are plentiful... How to choose? Architecture is mostly a matter of choosing...And knowing why!
I believe we will have to rewrite some new forms of pedagogy in the years to come... Not because our goals have changed, but simply because our students have other upbringings than those we where used to....And because you can't always compress time...:-):-):-)
