Are you kidding?

IMO there are few more jarring monumental gestures in Paris, and I find it hard to take any sort of passive or dismissive position towards it.

Personally, I find the pyramid overally to be a rather aggressive imposition on the site, but after seeing it up close I do appreciate it.
I think it's actually a quite successful space, and is somehow very appropriate to the spirit of Paris - which is certainly NOT a place with a history of passive architectural or urbanistic gestures.
