Richard,
I can hardly wait for your negative comments on Birmingham! You have already betrayed your ignorance by refering to the mythical "British Midlands" - perhaps you're thinking of the airline, rather than the ENGLISH West Midlands? No, not all of Birmingham is as "pretty as a picture", but it's full of hard-working people called 'Brummies' (myself included) of various ethnic origins, who live together in relative harmony. Unlike the North Of England, we do not have race riots and unlike the USA, we don't have the Ku Klux Klan - so there has been no 'strange fruit' on Brum's trees! Your comments?
