light industry as in its history of armaments, motorcycles, cars, machine tools, etc. Largely gone today, but certainly what it made its name on - the term 'light industry' is not an insult - it is simply as distinct from 'heavy industry', as in shipbuilding, steelmaking, etc. But largescale manufacturing in Britain is sadly taking us into the realms of history.

no, I can't name the buildings. Many are office-buildings which I saw at various stages of construction. They damaged the areas around them, rather than enhancing them.
