I'm a Belgian Erasmus student (Porto, ISEP) civil engineering. I'm doing a
project on the subject "STRUCTURAL ART". In short this is when a
aesthetically pleasing result follows from a economic (as little as
possible materials) and efficient (materials at full strength) design. We're
talking about engineers and bridges. Famous SA engineers in history : Telford,
Roebling, Eiffel, Nervi (shells), Menn, Maillart. My main resource is DP
Billington's "The tower and the bridge, the new art of structural
engineering".
My question : I'm looking for some recent examples structures who relate to my topic. I hope you can send me information by txt-attachments or by mail on Structural Art in general or
on some projects (responding to SA) in specific.
I would really appreciate it if you handle my question as quick and as
good as possible. I really need some extra information!
Also information on new technologies (hence more economic design possible) used in building would be helpful!

Thanks in advance.
