Amanda,
Your opinion of the British government is spot on! As I said to the Rt. Hon. Virginia Bottomley, MP in the dreaded Millennium Dome on 31.12.99, "this is a government that cannot organise a p*ss *p in a Dome!" (Naturally she agreed with me.)Anyone who has read Andrew Rawnsley's book on New Labour will realise how seriously flawed they are - and I am a card-carrying Labour Party member! They have wasted their first four years, desperately trying to get a second term, and so far have achieved very little, in my opinion. The sooner Gordon Brown is Prime Minister the better, there is no alternative to him. He once scowled at me with his one eye, I forgave him!Martin
