Message - Other 'architectural' news in Birmingham!

1. Spring 2002: We have put forward the following buildings for spot-listing:
Alpha Tower,Birmingham, George Marsh for R. Seifert and Partners, 1972-4
Listing case; the owners have also applied for a Certificate of Immunity.

2. Winter 2001: We have proposed the following building for inclusion in the Statutory List:
Central Library, Birmingham; Derek Davies of John Maelin Design, 1971 (but requested for spot listing in May 2002 as a result of my interest!)
&
Register Office, Birmingham; Bíham City Architects Shepherd Fidler, 1950s

3. Summer 2001: Listed at Grade II:
Baskerville House*, Birmingham, T. Cecil Howitt, 1938-1940s
* it used to be City Council owned offices, but it is now a hotel.
