Architecture is not dead, but rather thin on the ground, as I suppose it has always been. The perception of architecture and the level of satisfaction with what one percieves is largely matters of taste, and the last thing we need to waste time on is discussing taste.

Some years ago a famous british conductor commented that the British didn't really like music, but they rather liked the way it sounds. The same could be applied to architecture, not many people like architecture,but they do enjoy the way it looks.

There is more to perception than eyesight, just as there is much more to architecture than pictures on a website.
