The author is wandering in a a land witout values. Instead of describing the market as "deeply intellectual,
abstract theoretical content of
classic constructivism and
deconstruction, and the casual,
energetic, animated milieu of the
plebeian, democratic community", he could simply say it is ugly. Most people would agree, and everyone would understand him.
