The technology I mentioned, laser stereolithography, is not a milling process, and it does not use "foam", or milling devises. And I'm NOT talking about FDM Rapid Prototyping (3d printing) which fuses together layers of 2D material.
Sterolithography hardens a liquid photopolymer in place, creating complex three dimensional objects (see image). Theoretically, high performance resins could be developed for more varied building applications.
