In todays growing age I believe projects like this one would be more supported, I agree that we whould take advantage of the space we have now. Also the issue of bettering the community, the project has great benifits to the community and the areas around it, not only does it keep the easy access to down town for commuters, it also reunites the old nieghborhoods, you would think there would be more trust when it comes to benifiting the community. Not only that but in the long-run, the pollution would be cut down by a great percentage, reuniting the oposite sides of the turnpike adds to the accessability of the area, not to mention saves on haveing to build on the grounds on the out skirts of the communities, making the commuteing a even larger necessity. I believe the best way to go is to build onto, or extend these communities makeing more living space closer to the downtown area, therefore provideing for less of a commute, less polution and less urban developement on much needed land.
