Team up with a writer--someone who knows enough about architecture to produce credible material for publication. Journals (such as this one) need a constant supply of material.

The historical angle might be a good potential for magazines such as Old House and Preservation. You might find someone in Key West, for instance, who is well informed on what is happening there to guide you to the right places and possibly to write about them.
