Paul i agree with you, negative spaces where always the the most sacred focal point in temples,shrines,ancient burial caves for prehistoric men..etc
an enclosed positive space exposed to sky is good ,but i think it's just the tip of the iceberg,it's just a psychological approach for the main focal point ,it's got to be a -ive space,it should be a "Lascaux",a Sistine chapel, a "primitive" sacred architectural womb!
