But was there ever one monolithic ideology of Modernism? If one takes Corbu as the signular reference, then of course there was. But I think that would be to treat an artifact of art historical abstraction as if were actually real.

The Modernist ideology of Alvar Aalto, for instance, seems to me to very much alive.
