Linked is an essay by Nikos Salingaros (a critic known to some of us) that may annoy many architects, being the gadfly's bite. The observations are thoughtful, however, and deserve consideration.

Salingaros mentions Krier, which suggests another agenda, but he doesn't mention Alexander, with whom he is also sometimes identified.
