I certainly enjoy your discussion within this forum Paul Malo.

Thanks for the URL to read "A Missed Learning Opportunity" by Nikos A. Salingaros. He points to a link between the terrorist 'mind set' and our prominent modernist architectural 'symbol' (WTC). I think they attacked the towers because they were high enough to be attacked by the airliners. I think bin Laden and company were 'surprised' that the towers collapsed...just as surprised as we were. bin Laden's/Atta's did not have exceptional gifts of knowledge about the forces they unleashed to, 'call the shot' beforehand. That we have not yet solved the problem of what to build on the site (six ugly sisters), still there is a chance for a sort of compromise sooner or later. Salingaros mentioned the danger of 'deconstruction' of the site, i.e. another bad design concept waiting to be hatched but offered none of his own 'ideas' to show us 'the way.' His article implies that the West (us) produces abundant nihilstic buildings that are a bad influence to the world. I think that such is way too presumptious. The bin Ladens of the world only see targets for their mad destruction for their mad purposes...Architecture has nothing to do with it!

Often critics emerge and spin endless verbage about others work (from concept to reality) because they are unable to contribute substantively to it.
