One of the trends that I have noticed here in the States is one in which land recovery and re-use is the theme. I'm thinking of projects that involve mitigation of some kind of environmentally stressful situation such as mine acid deterioration (via certain sorts of planting), or flood control, or reusing former industrial sites as parks, sometimes including industrial relics as artifacts. Recovery and re-use is the theme. Andropogan and Associates in Philadelphia have some experience in this area. There is a sewage treatment project in Seattle that I remember seeing published that may be of some interest.
