not just the Yanks - the Brits too ! Honoraria are depressingly low in the UK and now and then there are problems about architects actually being paid.

the difference in this case is that it was opened as a worldwide competition and the money spent on Honoraria is tiny compared to all the other costs.

I know that this is only a part of it, but it is not a good indication from a US administration that has to have the worst public relations back-up in history. I wonder if it will become known as the "Edsel Administration".
