I have a question on the proper equation to use to apply entasis on a turned hollow wood column-
Is it the upper 2/3 of the column shaft that has the vignette? What is the lower 2/5 refer to in old Greek references?
I am, at the moment, a confused craftsman ready to turn some columns on my lathe; wanting to do it architecturally correct.
Can anyone clarify this for me?
Anyone want to E-M me? I will reply to all responses......
Thank You-
Tom
