The Inka's temples were build in layers one inside the other, don't this make sense if there are a technology that provide the means, that more are possible for a lower cost. Even Inka's changed style one temple from the other, getting bigger and bigger, leaving the origins within, do this is no smart new tech cave digging.
Building huge structures in layers don't need to mean that all remaining are covered and the memorial parks will fit perfect build around. Transforming huge arears still take time but with the right technologies anything is possible, all it need is a positive view about new technology and what it will bring. Why don't anyone belive in the future ,I se no trouble, aslong as the new tools are adapted.
