By the way, I didn't say I was agreeing on any side (not yet), but I wanted to see if other than Richard and you would respond to such a text (you two are "readers"). And to make one post instead of two I will also say to Richard that even if I agree with his view (basically), it is also true that instrumentation has shifted (to what degree I can't say) and representation _is_ an instrumentation... Now the "death of..." is a luring bait but the fish is there somewhere...:-)

Thanks the two of you taking time in your responses...:-) (I expected an uproar of pros vs cons specially from the students part, but then maybe the article was badly choosen - it's hard for me to find good english ones, because of course my usual links are in french)
