Let us have a hypothetical scenario!
I think if Marcel Breuer,Walter Gropius and Mies has never exist in the architectural history ,Philip Johnson will be transparent!
he never had a genuine style or a PERSONAL taste,he is one of the famous architectural jokes ,he's almost one of the perfect copycats!
on the other hand consistency is not a must in the life time experience of GREAT architects,if we remember Corbs and F L W great works as an examples, but unfortunately sometimes people may mix between pathetic changing of styles with respect to seasons as endless search for an architectural identity
with the architectural transitional periods as a result of saturated life time experiences and creativity stimilus!
the first condition is forgery, the second is wisdom!
