Elegant structures, typical Meier. But I believe the author overemphasises the novelty of the unitized (pre-fab) curtain wall. This is standard fair these days for high rises. The great thing about them is that quality is more easily controlled in the shop. Installers like them because it is quick to erect, and takes a big chunk of liability off of their backs. The only negative that I can think of is that because mullions mate together, they are a little wider than traditional stick built mullions (3" +/- vs. 2 1/2" or 2").
