You are quite right ; as a tool you can add these structures within a set of volumes tradisionaly formed, It's your own choice if you finf the structurs nice in an application where you form structures you add your design or if you dare take the full step, and make the meshwork be the supporting structure for other volumes.
Now I I had a 3D model of Bilbao or one of Corb's nice volumes . this would show the point in a bit auquad way, ---- but it would show somthing that will surprise anyone.
