Since there are many of you here who work in academia, I would like to know if professors are asking or expecting more from there students then they did say, 15 years ago. Pre-Internet days. I know when I was in school , I had to shlep my way (during normal working hours) to the library to find books on a particular architect or artist to do research for a history or design class. Not to mention that we typed papers back then, if someone in the dorms was lucky enough to have a typewriter. These days you can do all your research without ever leaving your dormroom. Cut and paste directly from a website and wala' instant paper without ever using your own words. How are the teachers dealing with this? I want these kids working as hard as I did. They don't know how lucky they have it.
