The primordial vacuum of space-time apparently has fluctuations which produce something from nothing...
And the black hole (according to Hawking) leaks out tunneling particles as a result, I think, of "pair production"...
So in a way, aside from the presence created by the absence of something else, there is also a presence within , and from, absence alone...
The void in a torso of a Henry Moore figure, has a separate reality, perhaps, which is felt an instant before we feel the part which is missing....
