Also. in comparison between architects and doctors (there might be a little area of comparison). Architects have not protected, marketed, codified, and elevated their profession to the degree that doctors have. There are similarities in training and qualifying steps, but when you see a doctor you have a greate expectation of a set of abilities than with an architect who could be more or less capable and can take a wide variety of approaches. Beside there is the element of art and creativity. While I like a doctor who has an open mind, creativity is lower on the list of attributes I look for. On the other hand architects are variable in quality, because we expect more ingenuity and creativity.
