Always design from the inside out, while keeping in mind what the exterior shell should look like.Let the structure be the only decoration and concentrate on basic form.Use the materials God has given us,such as wood and stone.Let the materials be true, for example;if wood is used,do not paint it.If you design a building and it does not look like that type of building, such as a factory looking like a restaraunt,it is a failure.A factory should look like a factory;a hotel,a hotel;a home,a home.A building should harmonize with it's site.Do not be afraid to start over from scratch if you fail,30% of my drawings I have thrown away or burned.
