The curved funnel has been used sometimes. Josep Lluis Sert was msome times successful using it.

Miguel Fisac has also some architecturally nice sheds one way or another involving indirect light ... some sheds try this effect.

Piano, Wright, Stirling etc are architects that cared about that.

Exploring museum architectures must be rewarding in this intent, since the trick is used many times to provide adequate light for some exposed items.
