I think in medium and large firms presently (in the U.S.) it is normal for principals to exceed the $100,000 mark. Few who are not principals are making that however. In higher cost areas such as NYC and LA these numbers are somewhat higher; in poor areas somewhat lower. An attorney can make that shortly after graduation! Then there are the Gehrys and Graves of the world......
