unless my experience of this is somewhat unusual, I believe that there has been a change in the type of cars that architects drive nowadays.

they used to drive anything from Bentleys to bicycles, but today just want the middle class approval of the BMW - in some particularly exciting shade of grey.

the ones who drive the more interesting vehicles, those which display a greater curiosity for design and originality, are the engineers.
