Certainly I agree with you on that humans have many ways of positive realization. Furthermore we distinguish even within those more loved architects that they in more of being dedicated architects (some nearly the the immolation you refer to, bot not all) they enjoyed strong personalities for all to witness. It was maybe their personality what made them so interesting people, so interesting architects, and not being architects what made them interesting and worth our attention.
