RE the following comment: restroom design in America different from the other parts of the world ? I doubt it.

Restrooms in Europe are vastly different from those in the U.S. Community restrooms are less common, and stalls are generally completely private rooms lacking the space between the floors and ceilings. Some Europeans find our public restrooms to be barbaric. I guess that's something for US architects to be proud of?
