according to recent reports these schemes are unlikely ever to be built. The US economy is such that there is a very considerable amount of empty property in Manhattan already, so reports say.

In addition, US citizens apparently would not even think of being in a building over sixty stories high (if even that).

by the way, what are these strange reports about the asbestos problems in the Twin Towers that would have made them economically non-viable if they hadn't been destroyed on 9.11 ? Is it true or just a rumour ?
