I remember seeing photos of this building in an advertisement for TWA when I was a kid. While I had no desire to see New York City, I did very much want to see this beautiful piece of functional art!

I finally got to see it, but only from the outside on a recent trip to NYC. How could anyone look at this marvel and decide that it needed to be altered or destroyed?

I think the best use would be a museum for "modern art", both functional and non-functional, from the 50's and 60's! What better setting?

NYC should do all it can to preserve this fabulous piece of history--please, before it's gone!
