Just remember that the computer is one tool in a large shed of creative devices.

I'd say, 'the computer' in itself is 'a large shed of creative devices', rather than "one tool".

On one given computer, different software can provide many different tools — 2D drawing (MacDraw, Illustrator), 2D drafting (AutoCAD LT, PowerCADD), 2D painting (Photoshop, Painter), 2 1/2D painting (Piranesi), 2 1/2D modeling (AutoCAD 2.6, early ArchiCAD, simple home design), 3D surface modeling (SketchUp), 3D solid modeling (formZ), 3D feature-based sketch modeling (DesignWorkshop), parametric building model (Revit), animation (3DS, Artlantis), lighting simulation (Radiance, Lightscape). And so on!
