Has anyone ever researched into how the essence of sports can or has influenced architecture? Such as the Roman Colesium is a big oval with raised seating for spectator viewing. I'm interested in designing a sports complex for my Thesis project where the general public can pay admission and enjoy different sporting items throughout the building. I would like to get to the guts of how sports can influence buildings and overall architectural design and planning.
