I would classify the style of Hongkong Shanghai Bank by Norman Foster as high-tech modern, not post-modern. Partly I differ with Manuel on this in that I see the form and detailing of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank as a structural expressionism, rather than a formalism per se, or historicism. The structural basis of the expression seems to separate it, even though it also has a very elegant refinement.
