are you serious ? the last new theatre in London was in 1975 ?

"Thespian hamlet" maybe, but within a city of Philistines. London must have had another new theatre since then, mustn't it ?

Mind you, I remember talking to someone heavily involved in theatre productions in London shortly after I saw Mel Brooks' film "The Producers" for the first time. "It isn't really as bad as that in the theatre world, is it ?" I asked cautiously. Sadly, he said "It's worse, Richard - much, much worse."
