Very true, and this is another dichotomy of schizoid culture. We live in houses that outwardly resemble bad copies of houses that were bult in Europe centuries ago, but the interiors, furnishings, and mechanical and electrical systems within them are completely modern. What does this say about us? That we value the past, but only just a little?
